The Vice President of Data Management is a leadership position within Bridge’s Enterprise Software and Data Management Team. The individual in this role will be responsible for helping develop and implement an organizational data strategy to enable departments and teams to collaborate on data driven decisions. The person in this role will manage the team and the systems responsible for receiving, transforming and delivering data to key stakeholders within the organization.
Bridge’s data strategy relies heavily on the Microsoft Azure stack. The individual in this role will need to be able to effectively oversee the design and implementation of solutions integrating a large number of databases and technologies using Microsoft tools.
Manage a data team responsible for delivering timely and accurate data to key stakeholders in the organization.
Support and encourage team development through reviews, goal setting, career planning and similar activities.
Guide the development of the organizational data vision and strategy.
Work closely with the Security team to develop and implement policies and strategies to ensure data security throughout the organization.
Oversee the implementation of major data initiatives, including a new Data Warehouse implementation.
Collaborate in the creation of an organizational Data Governance strategy and serve in a leadership position on that committee.
Collaborate with data stewards throughout the organization to ensure proper curation of organizational data.
Develop and implement processes to ensure Bridge’s data management aligns with regulatory and investor needs.
Develop and implement data measures and KPIs to help ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
Document and share key systems to help ensure knowledge transfer, process consistency and business continuity.
Oversee the maintenance of the organizational data dictionary.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance or other relevant field
5+ years experience leading data teams within an organizational context
Must be able to effectively manage projects to scope, timeline and budget
Demonstrated experience in developing organizational data governance and standards
5+ years experience working with Microsoft data technologies. Experience with tools in the Azure stack is required.
Experience in the process of designing, implementing and managing an Enterprise Data Warehouse initiative is required.
Experience and/or knowledge of the tools defined in the Microsoft “modern data warehouse” is strongly desired. These tools include (but are not limited to) Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Databricks, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Catalog and Power BI.
Experience in Real Estate or Financial sectors is strongly desired.
