Zions Bancorporation has just opened an opportunity for a Assistant Credit Risk Manager on our Zions Rate Risk team located in downtown Salt Lake City, UT.

Ideal candidates will have the skills and experience necessary to

  • Assist the manager in directing and coordinating the activities for the retail loan area related to assessing and predicting business performance through analyzing and modeling.

  • Determine policies and strategies that maximizes profits and assets growth and minimizes credit and operating losses and other risk exposures.

  • Manages modeling and data analysis, credit scoring and risk management.

  • Ensures that acceptable retail credit standards are maintained and that loan decisions adhere to the company's policies.

  • Manages staff and prepares employee performance evaluations.

  • May prepare area budget and monthly financial reports.

  • Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising staff.

  • Develop and manage division MIS resources.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What you need to bring to the table:

  • Advanced knowledge of lending, applicable government regulations, credit and risk analysis and related computer systems and software.

  • Must have excellent management and strong judgment skills.

  • Must have solid analytical skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of, and capability to do the work of the group.

  • Ability to set and maintain high quality work standards.

  • Ability to lead a group.

  • Ability to deal effectively with people in various job capacities.

  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.

  • Requires a college degree in Finance, Business or other related field

  • 4+ years’ experience in lending, credit, credit analysis or other directly related experience.

  • A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
